Ocean Blue Outdoor Getaway
Designing this outdoor space in Maui was all about marrying comfort, elegance, and the natural beauty of the island. We started with a sturdy dark wood sofa and matching chairs, creating a solid foundation for the area. The cushions, wrapped in a calming ocean-blue fabric, provide a relaxing and refreshing visual that's perfect for this tropical setting. To add a bit of flair, we included accent pillows with geometric patterns in shades of blue, green, and white. These pillows not only enhance comfort but also introduce a lively visual element.
The rug is a subtle but key player in the setup – featuring a soft herringbone pattern that perfectly complements the blue upholstery and ties the entire seating area together. It’s comfy for barefoot walks and tough enough to withstand the outdoor conditions. We kept the lighting simple with elegant wall sconces that provide a warm glow in the evenings, making the space ideal for nighttime gatherings or quiet, reflective moments.
The small details really bring this space to life – like the charming pineapple-shaped lantern on the table, which adds a touch of Hawaiian charm and warmth.
